KTM, the Austrian manufacturer is planning to launch some interesting bikes in India in 2018. Ever since KTM got into a partnership with Bajaj Auto Ltd, the bike manufacturer has been posting record-breaking sales numbers in India . At present KTM and Their Top 5 Products to be Launched in India During 2017/2018. The bikes are namely– KTM 390 Adventure, KTM 790 Duke, KTM 1050 Adventure, KTM 1190 Adventure R and KTM 1290 Super Duke R. KTM definitely has plans to expand its list of products to boost its presence in the Indian motorcycle market. There are mainly five models that the company plans to launch in the near future.

#5: KTM 390 Adventure

The KTM 390 Adventure will be based on the naked sibling- the Duke 390. Though based on the street-fighter version, it will borrow traits from the 1190 Adventure model in terms of design. This new motorcycle will sport a stronger and longer suspension, dual-purpose tires and a larger fuel tank. The motorcycle should also sport an upright seating position making it more comfortable for longer distances.

KTM 790 Duke is a prototype that has been showcased recently in a concept form. Not just that is was even featured in a video where it was driven along a single white line on the track performing wheelie, drift and everything that could be done on a closed circuit. The bike uses the familiar KTM design language and comes with a recently developed twin cylinder 800cc motor.
Once KTM 790 Duke launched, the bike will compete against Kawasaki Z800 and Ducati Monster series in the international market. The motorcycle will be most probably built in Austria while the smaller KTM bikes are made in India.

The 1050 Adventure will be the first litre-class offering from KTM in the Indian two-wheeler market. Powering the bike is a 1,050cc V-twin motor churning out 96PS of peak power. The 1050 Adventure is a modern KTM ADV bike, well equipped with Ride Mode Technology, ABS, and traction control. The ABS can be shut off, as well as the traction control, and the level of electronic intervention is dependent on the chosen ride mode.

The KTM 1190 Adventure R is designed by using the powder-coated tube frame that is made of chrome molybdenum steel tubing and gives it a perfect sleek look. The bike offers a super sporty and comfortable riding position with its 3D foam padding seat. The perfectly placed fuel tank along with 23-litres capacity provides the rider with an absolute knee contact and support.
Also there is the stylish and bright headlamp in its sporty cowl, impressive LED tail light with turn indicators, racing type footrests, a short license plate holder, front crash-pad to protect the fork from damage and rear crash-pad to protect the swing arm, mirrors with integrated blinkers, new aluminum-forged triple clamps and chromed alloy wheels. All of these impart muscular and aggressive looks to the bike.

KTM 1290 SuperDuke R is the most fascinating naked street bike in mass production currently. It comes with exposed frame till the end of its tail, making it nothing less than a fearless demon on the street. It is currently being offered in 2 shades and uses a 1301cc engine producing 177 HP and 141 Nm of torque. Even after using such a massive engine, it weighs just 195 kg and comes loaded with equipment like cornering ABS.
It has Bosch 9ME braking system combined with ABS and Traction Control and thus also guarantees the safety aspect and will be a light-weight bike. It also has nice low-pressure and die-cast wheels with tailor-made Metzeler M7RR tyres. It has WP suspension system which includes 48mm diameter Upside-Down forks with gas pressure reservoir at front and Monoshock Absorbers at rear. 1290 Super Duke R rivals Ducati Monster 1200, BMW S1000, Suzuki GSX-S1000, Honda CB1000R, Kawasaki Z1000 and Yamaha MT-10.
